Paragliding Competition rule book now officially at v21

The New Zealand Paragliding Competition Rulebook is now officially updated to version 21.

You can download it here.

The major changes can be described, thus:

* Overseas FAI Cat2 Competitions can no longer be declared as overseas leagues
* The infamous 4.4.3 "Nomination Rule" is now gone. Pilots can retrospectively inform the PCC regarding an overseas FAI Cat2 competition up until two months after the WPRS scores for the comp are calculated. The NZPRS score for this comp will then be calculated according to the exchange rate factor, the same as before. A maximum of two FAI Cat2 Overseas Comps can count towards a pilot's NZPRS ranking at any time, regardless of which season they occurred in.

Please note that for this season only, and for comps that have already been flown, the two month deadline is being waived.

What does this mean?

It mean that, if, since April 2019 you have flown in an overseas FAI Cat2 competition then you should tell the PCC about it (preferably as soon as the WPRS score has been calculated) and it will probably improve your position on the national ranking system.
